Native of Barrancabermeja, an industrial city in the Santander province in Colombia, I am the result of the cultural crossroads that the Magdalena Medio area fosters in Colombia. My bio has to start with that town that being far in the interior of Colombia, historically has held closer ties with the Caribbean culture than with the Andean highlands. Vallenato music, unbearable heat, and a river that was supposed to be the heart that gave life to the country, are only a few of the elements that informed my early years. The ever burning pipes from the oil refinary was a constant light that would even at night make my  hallways clearer.
